Manic Weekend

The only way I can describe the last hoorah of Brett & Dario - well at least for a year or so. Last weekend we celebrated 10 years of mateship/friendship in Sydney and partied like we were 10 years younger...
Starting on his arrival Thursday night, I had already downed a few Guiness at the pub so by the time we got into drinking about 23.30 - I was well and truly slaughtered...Friday at work (whilst he slept in, had a late brekkie and leisurely stroll around the shops) I was dying. Such a bad hangover and the weekend had only just begun. - Side note: The older I get the worse the hangover gets!
Friday night we toned it down a notch with a $5 steak, beers and watching the rugby - Perth has a union team! Not very good, but a team to follow is better than none. Ending up in the Exchange Hotel across from the Madison - they have completely refurbished the place - instead of a pub it feels like the lobby of swanky hotel - same shit crowd of people though. A paint of coat does not bring a coat of class.
Saturday morning at sparrows fart we arrived to the Star City wharf to boad the Frantic Sydney Crew's E-Motion boat - which was an awesome 6 hours of hard and funky trance, crusing up and down the harbour and too many beers in the sun. Feeling our age, it took us some time to make it to the after party which fizzled out by 23.00...
This was an awesome opportunity for us to head home and talk shit like the good ole days with shots & beers...4am Sunday we finally crashed to bed.
Sunday exhausted and well partied, we had a good fry up before heading to Digs fav Sydney spot, The Harbour View for Sunday Bloody Mary Sunday. A late meal in Chinatown and a coffee to see us through, I left Dario at Central heading back to Perth.
Mate 10 years have passed - jobs & countries have changed and we have had to grow up, but nothing has changed between us - will miss you mate.
Dario and his girl Al are going to try life in South Africa for a year and see if they want to set up permantely there or back in Perth. Whatever you guys choose, another big weekend is not too far around the corner - next time with the girls.
