a beautiful city, possibly one of my favourites. people were genuine and friendly, the landscape is incredible and the sound of bag pipes really made it a vibrant place to visit. opting for the slacker approach to tourism (we only has the day) we jumped on a tour bus with a guide that informed us that leo's character in titanic wasn't believed by the countrymen he was supposed to be hailing from as no-self respecting brit would hang onto his girl if he actually got her up on the third railing - none of this i'm the king of the world stuff. it would be more likely, "how is it done there? the blue water really agrees with you"anyhow, we end up at the castle and do the walk around. bomb scare in the evening on a bus and a good portion of the surrounding area is cordened off...
back to glasgow for an early flight next morn to brussels to connect with an evening flight to roma...
