The Cold and Quickly Updated Winter...
Ok, when last I posted it was about November...
December: Laura came and it was the most amazing time I had in Paris. To be in a city so beautiful and to not be able to share it with the person you are closest too - well it just plain sucks...Seeing her again was amazing. We did Paris, Disneyland, Lille, Belgium, saw some of my family in The Netherlands, caught up breifly with one of my two best mates, Dario, in London (also watched a lot of cable television - with no tv for 6 months it was heavenly to watch bad sitcoms and music televison again...
Spent Xmas in Angers with Anne-Laure from my teams' family -it was a real French traditional Xmas complete with full lunch and dinner and opening pressies on xmas eve - very weird...Laura and I felt very welcome and appreciated the experience immensely. Also did the Cointreau factory tour...
January: I was pretty bummed most of the month with Laura gone, but I had Kezza and Keru in town to keep me company and feed me after I had blown 3 months MC salary (about 600€) during December...They fed me and took me out, and carried my Rollerblades from Perth all the way over - thanks girls!!!
February: Had another Conference, this time the NATCO, with Belgium. Thats all I can remember about February...
March: After searching for what seemed like months (only 2 infact) I found a traineeship in Switzerland which sounded perfect and paid well too ;) More about this later...
Also this month I went to Morroco. Absolutely amazing and I will be back. Went there to facilitate a seminar and it was the most horriffic bus ride of my life lasting 40+ hours to come back and nearly not being allowed to leave the country due to some misunderstandings about the bus driver wanting me to pay extra (bribe) for my luggage and me not wanting to pay - thank you to my Morrocan AIESEC friends and saviours!!!
Morroco was a great time with friends from all over, especially great to see Sanaa, Petroula, Mina and Zinouba again, as well as making new friends. Marrakesh and Casablanca were out of this world and the ferry ride between Spain and Morroco was excellent - such blue water after a long time of being inland!!!
This month also saw the first and last time I try and own a pet with the arrival and early retirement of Shrek the Chameleon - I will spare you the tragedy...
